CICERO COSTHA EUROPE collected the most golds (17), but AA jiujitsu and Redbelt academia posted better numbers where it counts: golds per athlete and match win rate. A few numbers worth flagging. Aranha Hospitalet sent the most athletes (65) but finished with more losses than wins overall (66-91). Gracie Barra Barcelona carries a solid community reputation (rated 85 on bjjgym.com) but posted a 9-16 match record with 12 competitors. BJJ Grappling WODS took 2 golds from 4 athletes yet went 2-8 on the mat. CORAGEM and Equipo Becerra reached top-30 best rankings despite zero golds, winning individual events without converting finals. FOX JIU JITSU ACADEMY entered with 6 athletes, went 0-6, and ranked 332nd.

Win Rate: Who Punches Above Its Weight

Gold totals reward large squads by default. Match wins per athlete and win rate tell a different story.

Redbelt academia sent 6 athletes and went 29-8: 78 wins from every 100 matches played (29 wins from 37 total). Ten golds from six competitors is more than 1.6 golds per athlete, the highest in the table. Three of their athletes also competed in Brazil: Campeonato Brasileiro 2026, Campeonato Sul-Americano 2025, and the Curitiba Summer Open 2025. No other Barcelona gym in the data entered Brazilian circuit events.

AA jiujitsu reached the top team ranking (best rank: 1) with just 16 athletes and a 53-31 record. Their 84 total matches is high for a squad of 16, which means they were entering multiple divisions per athlete.

NAU JIU JITSU fielded 10 athletes and went 38-22 across the season. Six golds understates the volume they put up on the mat.

Aranha Hospitalet is the clearest counterpoint: most athletes (65), third-highest gold total (16), but 91 losses from 157 matches. More than 4 in every 10 matches they competed in ended in a loss. Worth knowing before assuming squad size reflects competitive strength.

IBJJF Circuit Appearances

Nine Barcelona gyms sent athletes to IBJJF-sanctioned events outside Spain. Placement data was not available for any of these entries. The figures below are athlete counts per event only.

HUMBLING JIU JITSU CLUB had the broadest international schedule of any Barcelona gym in the dataset: 20 IBJJF events, including the Pan Championship 2026, European Championships (gi 2026, no-gi 2025), World Masters 2025, and opens in Dublin, London, Paris, Rome, Turin, Lisbon, Milan, Geneva, Venice, and Curitiba. No other Barcelona gym came close to this volume.

AOC JIU-JITSU attended 12 IBJJF events: four consecutive European Masters (2023-2026), European Championships (gi 2025 and 2026, no-gi 2023), World Masters (2024 and 2025), plus Milan, Rome, and Dublin. AOC’s Spain Tour record is modest (3 golds, best rank 77) but their masters circuit attendance is consistent and long-running.

Reinaldo Ribeiro Team Barcelona Jiu-Jitsu appeared at 12 IBJJF events spanning European Championships (gi and no-gi, 2023-2026), San Diego Spring Open 2025, World Masters 2023, and opens in Rome, Geneva, Portugal, and Fortaleza 2022. The most geographically spread international schedule in the dataset.

Gullo Jiu-Jitsu Barcelona attended 7 IBJJF events: Madrid Open 2026, Paris Spring Open 2026, Venice Jesolo 2026, London Spring Open 2026, and three European Masters (2023, 2025, 2026).

Redbelt academia went to Brazil: Campeonato Brasileiro 2026, Campeonato Sul-Americano 2025, Curitiba Summer Open 2025. Three events, all in South America.

Standout Athletes in 25/26

Ivan Raj Udovichenko (AA jiujitsu) is the standout individual in the dataset. In no-gi adult purple he went 10-0 and finished ranked 1st nationally. In gi adult purple he posted 7-3, collecting 3 golds, 1 silver, and 1 bronze, ranking 2nd. Two divisions, two top-two national finishes in the same season.

Andrés Rodríguez Segrera (TEMPLUM BCN) ranked 1st in gi adult black and also placed 8th in no-gi master black. Two different divisions at black belt level, two rankings.

Juan Pablo Rodrigues Da Silva (Redbelt academia) ranked 2nd in no-gi adult purple (5-0, 2 golds) and 3rd in gi adult purple (6-0, 2 golds). Eleven matches, zero losses across both divisions.

Jonas Andrade (HUMBLING JIU JITSU CLUB) went 5-0 in gi master black, taking 4 golds and ranking 8th nationally in that division.

Saray Garcia Lopez (HWC TEAM) went 4-0 in female gi adult and master blue, ranking 4th nationally. Maite Dueñas (CICERO COSTHA EUROPE) medaled in two divisions: 2nd in no-gi adult blue (4-0, 2 golds) and 8th in gi adult blue (3-0, 2 golds).

Carmen Beltrán (NAU JIU JITSU) ranked 8th in female no-gi adult white: 5-1, 2 golds and 1 silver.

David Flores Justiniano (10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Barcelona) ranked 8th in male no-gi adult blue: 6-1, 2 golds and 1 silver. 10th Planet Barcelona competes no-gi only.
