Jonas Andrade and Andres Rodrigues from templum in Barcelona tried to extort me I literally subbed someone once and Andres Rodrigues said "Hey I want a pair of shoes" I declined, right after that I started getting mismatched at +30kg differential Jonas Andrade kept telling me bjj is "a family" and I need to be "a contributing member of the family" The gym seems to be run by a gang?? His gym also offered me a coaching spot and a black belt When I declined, they bought in some people at a 30kg differential specifically meant to injure me I was also harassed in barcelona multiple times after leaving the gym, they're literally a gang...a source, 2024 ↗

Barcelona: Dropped into Gullo BJJ, kind of a small school but really friendly people, good jiu jitsu. Also went to Renzo Gracie Spain outside of Tarragona (40min from BCN) and had a great time catching up with an old school MMA contemporary from the NYC area (Carlos). Ireland: Dropped into Point Blank BJJ in Galway, class was kinda rushed because they were doing a one-off self defense seminar right afterwards. I was full of fried food and beer and the instructor was a redheaded gorilla who chin strapped me for 5 minutes (great BJJ tho). Chicago: Trained at a few spots here (Redzovic, Val source, 2023 ↗

I don't have anything to add to what /u/IdiotTranslator regarding Gracie Barra. I haven't trained at Templum, but I know a guy who went to teach kickboxing there and he seems to love it. I'm out on vacation, but I train at Eixample Fitness in Barna, you can go there. You also have Yan Cabral's Templum, Robin Gracie in Gracie Barcelona, Chen Moraes in Anaconda BJJ, some Roger Gracie affiliate and a bunch of less known places... Plenty of BJJ places in the city source, 2017 ↗
