I know Gracie university is different from Gracie Humaita and Gracie Barra. I don’t know which direction you were driving from but the.Gracie jiu-jitsu gym in San Diego, Gracie South Bay (it’s a Humaita) gym was a place. I really really enjoyed going one week when I was in town. I personally clicked with their instructors and really liked the classes. Just a thought. source, 2025 ↗

10p in South Bay offers great beginner jiu jitsu but no MT, the 10p San Diego will be honest has a very subpar MT/MMA program if you want all in one I’d suggest victory! source, 2024 ↗

If you're in South San Diego you should check out my local jiu jitsu gym. Everyone is super super friendly, great rate, and no contract. I've seen so many people loose a lot of weight doing this and it's fun! Like you're a kid wrestling around with cousins in the back yard. DM if you're interested.
