As an Asian that mostly grew up in Miami, yes and no. I made friends with people from all backgrounds while also having a mainly Asian core friend group which helped a lot. I found that I was able to find affinity in the little things, like eating rice with my meals or having immigrant parents that don't always know how to talk to their kids. I learned conversational Spanish to get around and place orders, which honestly helps somewhat in terms of "fitting in" though it's a lot more useful for ordering. go to an mma/bjj gym and stick with it. They will be your brothers through anything as long as your consistently in the gym. Yes.
