Valente Brothers have in my opinion one of the greatest Jiu Jitsu schools in the country. They have been influenced greatly their families relationships with the Gracie’s that go back several generations, i believe their grandfather was the first to start training in the original Gracie Academy. The Gui they wear is similar to what you will see in those pictures of what was worn in the original Academy. Their professionalism and knowledge of the art sets them apart and it shows in the way the school has grown tremendously over time in the highly competitive Miami Jiu Jitsu arena. Dexter finds peace after killing Rudy. He leaves Miami Metro and opens his own Butcher Shop near the Bay Harbor. the business is a smash success and eventually Doakes makes amends with Dexter and they begin an on again off again relationship bonding over their shared experience and attending Jiu Jitsu classes together. They marry in 2010 and retire to Lake Tahoe where they open an art gallery featuring abstract art and oil portraits based on blood spatter patterns. Deb marries Masuka and they have 3 kids, they later divorce when Deb finds Masuka in bed with Laguerta. Angel leaves Miami Metro a source, 2024 ↗

Not sure of your schedule or physical availability, but I’ve found that training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to be transformative. Aside from marrying my wife, starting Jiu Jitsu was the best decision I ever made. It’s got numerous benefits, some of which include: 1. It’s amazing exercise. Great for cardio, mobility, and to some degree strength. 2. Cognitive benefits. I love that I learn something new at every class, and the art encourages thinking about strategy, physics, and technique on multiple levels. 3. The community is amazing. I’ve met many wonderful people in the Jiu Jitsu community. I e source, 2024 ↗

More stupid lame replies. Those 5 paragraphs took all of 2 mins. Please though Mr Big Shot I want to be like you. What hobbies do you have? Do you live here in Miami? You do sound a lot like Wes, either way if you're here in Miami let's meet up. I live at Ocean Club over on KB, let's meet at KB yacht club or Granada CC in the gables and head over to Mario Sperry Jiu Jitsu or Temple MMA, show me what's up. source, 2024 ↗

I train in boxing, bjj and weaponry. Chest / back / legs. My cardio has turned to crap this last six months so I have to refocus on that. I live in Florida most of the year near miami. I’m going into law school next year so hoping to find work / life balance. I think I will take up fencing next because it’s a martial art but it’s easier on the body, light on the joints and focus on precision and stabbing the body at certain bullseye spots. I like to have fun and sports always gives me that outlet. source, 2024 ↗

Tried posting a thread on this but it does not seem to be allowed content, got referred to general section. Hope someone in South Florida could help me. It is about Gama Filho. I am going to move to Miami in August and my job is going to be in the Gables area so I have an apartment in that area as a result. Been looking at MMA Gyms in the area and was looking for something that does striking and BJJ. There is a Gracie gym that only does BJJ but I want to continue to do some striking Martial Art as well. The only good one near me that comes up is Gama Filho. However, compared to say an MMA Ma source, 2023 ↗

My first school 20 years ago was a Gracie Miami affiliate run by the Valente Brothers. Pedro was a nice guy but they spoke a lot about how they train and teach the “true” art developed by Helio. They would make a point in saying most Gracie’s had already moved away from Helio’s style and were no longer true Gracie JJ. We did a shit load of self defense training (basically the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Book by Royce and Charles Gracie) and some rolling. My instructor was a purple belt at the time and as soon as I got my blue belt I quit. I got back into bjj 1.5 years ago and looked up my old instr source, 2023 ↗
