[https://capitalmma.com/classes/washington-dc-gracie-jiu-jitsu-1/](https://capitalmma.com/classes/washington-dc-gracie-jiu-jitsu-1/) I've never trained there myself, but some of the folks at my school now came from there. There are Gracie Barra schools in the area, but not close to the Metro source, 2022 ↗

Ryan Halls place isn’t that far and i think still across the street of an orange line stop. I dropped in a few times and really liked it. He gave me a free 30 mins private after the class. Basically just getting to ask questions and him showing me small details. It was a cool spot. source, 2021 ↗

The common wisdom with respect to the DC/NOVA market is to pick the closest acceptable school, unless you're just an unflappable commuter. [This] (https://www.reddit.com/r/bjj/wiki/schools#wiki_washington.2C_dc_metro_area) might help. Frankly, almost all of them are good. Our area is a really good area for BJJ, kind of unsung compared to NYC, SD etc. source, 2018 ↗

It's in Hyattsville, MD. Its a hike from arlington, but not too bad. I'm in Arlington as well...closer to Falls Church but still Arlington. http://ibjjf.com/championship/washington-dc-spring-international-open-jiu-jitsu/ source, 2018 ↗

>just got a job in DC But will you be living in DC? Lot of people usually live in NOVA/MD and commute into DC (though the metro has been pretty rough going these days with the smart track repairs going on) https://www.reddit.com/r/bjj/wiki/schools#wiki_washington.2C_dc_metro_area There are a few schools on there that arent listed if you just do a google search. Honestly most offer a free trial period, I suggest you go around trying different schools to see which fits your training needs, schedule and price range source, 2016 ↗

Looking at the latest information in the D.C. subreddit, it's...[holy shit $300](https://www.reddit.com/r/washingtondc/comments/2by97j/mma_in_dc_where_to_go/cja2nd5)? Can a current student confirm this? They may have cheaper for more limited packages but damn. I really remember it once being close to $160. Unless Sensei McPartland changed his mind, DC Judo will soon be implementing a new price plan which charges $10 a class, bought in increments of 5 classes. You can take these classes on Monday and Saturday at Edgewood Arts Center near Brookland, and Wednesday and Friday at the Kennedy Rec source, 2016 ↗
