I did just that with a G19 for my EDC. TLR7A, Trijicon RMR T2 3.25MOA. I work nights & sometimes leave work after midnight in a highly gang/drug/transient infested area of Los Angeles. Offsite parking. Shitty street lighting in the area. There were trade offs I had to make, though. I’m only 5’9ish. I went from 198 at my heaviest to currently 163. Waist went from a 36ish to now about a 30ish. My current jeans size is 32, but I can fit a fist between my waist & the actual waistband of the pants. Like, it’s starting to fall off my waist. Just haven’t bought new pants 😂 Combination of ea source, 2023 ↗

For context this is the exact wording of the profile “I like exploring Los Angeles, jiu jitsu, cycling, golfing, breweries, the beach, traveling, and basically anything that gets me out of the house. Be able to take a roasting and don’t take life too seriously 😬 6’0 “ source, 2023 ↗

I am Los Angeles California, and do BJJ Point being I am in a city with a lot of hot women I also am currently in a relationship, and yes I still roll with women, because grappling isn't sexual, I am trying to choke someone until they submit or crush them with weight until they have no energy left so I can pass guard and choke them until they submit or lose consciousness My aim, my endgoal doesn't change because the breast tissue on the person I am rolling with is more supple. I'm still trying to choke someone or rip off an appendage. source, 2022 ↗

Absolutely. For example, in late 1980’s Los Angeles, Detective Martin Riggs squared up against infamous drug runner Mr. Joshua in one of the great one on one cop fights of all time. Other officers attempted to intervene, and driven by either principle, ego, or both, Riggs waved them off despite being in mortal danger of drowning in a mud puddle. Using determination, early jiu jitsu learned during the Vietnam war, and hella strong legs, Riggs bested Joshua, proving himself to be a one man weapon. A truly lethal weapon. source, 2022 ↗

(OC) I call it The Owl Academy. It has six members. Their emblem is the head of an Owl. Their mission suit is brown with golden stripes. I chose six because the ideal team count is 4-8. They are well trained in multiple forms of combat from MMA to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I changed their last names to add more of my own spin on this team. Number 1 "Mr. Invulnerable" - He is from Buenos Aires and is invulnerable to anything (except for gold) and has super strength. He also has expert leadership ability. Number 2 "The Transmutation" - He is from Los Angeles and can change his body matter into diff source, 2022 ↗

I train at a well known academy in Los Angeles (I only mention that to give context), that has produced multiple world champions, UFC Champions, etc. We have many gay & lesbian students & I can honestly say I’ve never seen or heard a single derogatory statement or people refraining from rolling, etc. They are all well liked, well respected, normal students like the rest of us. We’ve all gotten together on numerous occasions outside class for food / drinks, to watch UFC, etc & their S/O’s always joined & it was a complete non-issue. It’s a major city, so I’m sure it may not be l source, 2022 ↗

Thank you I will check it out. Probably too much info for a public forum, but my wife is Chinese American, and at the risk of harmful stereotypes, she is very frugal. The reason we don't have enough money is because we lost our second income when we moved from Los Angeles to Columbus. But she is doing all kinds of stuff, bank account/credit card cash incentives and trying to cut every corner we can. My priority is paying for my 6 year old son to train BJJ and even though we can't afford that, I consider it a life necessity. As a father, of course, I come in last in terms of priorities :) source, 2022 ↗

That’s how the Machado owned gyms and Gracie Academy gyms run warmups too. In fact, they are generally friendly with Eddie Bravo. Idk where the whole 10PJJ vs BJJ rivalry outside Los Angeles started. In the city they are all usually chill when I trained with ‘em. source, 2022 ↗
