I was a PhD student and then postdoc at MIT. We had a lab in NUS (Singapore), so I had travelled there about 7-8 times over the course of 6 years. Needless to say I took a few weekend trips to pretty much every country in Asia. Fell in love with a Japanese girl and fell in love with Japan. Graduation time comes around, I go to the Boston Career Fair. Little did I know that it’s actually a 100% Japanese career fair for Japanese people looking for work in Japan. Why is it in Boston?
