What Reddit says about SIAM Athlete Nation

7 verbatim community mentions from r/bjj and city subreddits, unedited, positives and negatives alike.

Siam or Arte Suave have the best grappling/BJJ. Siam is probably best for no-gi and Arte Suave Best for Gi. They are both in Copenhagen Northwest. You should have plenty of options for what you want to do if you live in Nørrebro. For marital arts there is Siam (Muay Thai/kickboxing, BJJ, MMA and taekwondo or karate) and Rules boxing gym. Copenhagen Muay Thai is also not far from nørrebro. Siam also has a crossfit center. SHC gyms also have a lot of different classes. source, 2025 ↗

“Siam” like “Thailand” jiu Jitsu? Interesting name for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Copenhagen. source, 2023 ↗

I don't train in Copenhagen. Had to move because of university since september. But the last place I trained at was Siam. Probably the best muay thai and no-gi BJJ in Copenhagen. source, 2021 ↗

This list is pretty outdated/misinformed. Choke bjj is no longer run by Joao Pedro(as far as I know), and /u/graugart left CSA quite a while back. I haven't seen Renegade field any competitors apart from kids at tournaments. I find it a bit strange. I'd probably go to Siam instead, if I were to visit the city(and I find it a bit strange they weren't mentioned at all in this list) source, 2020 ↗

It depends on where but for the most part, yes, Denmark is saturated with BJJ gyms. In Copenhagen, the largest gyms are Arte Suave ([they have 21 blackbelts](http://www.mma-cph.dk/belt-rankings/), not all of them are currently training there though), CSA (BJJ Globetrotter founder Christian Graugart teaches there, [they have 3 blackbelts](http://csa.dk/baelter/)) and Rumblesports (they're more MMA-oriented, they have 3 UFC fighters and [2 blackbelts](http://rumblesports.dk/belt-ranking/)). Then there's some smaller gyms like Renegade MMA (1 blackbelt), Siam (2 blackbelts), Mascarenhas (2-3 bl source, 2016 ↗

Ah, I can imagine the training possibilities decrease when moving to Aalborg from Copenhagen. I train with two ex-Choke guys, Lars (purple belt) and Christian (blue belt) in Siam. Super nice dudes. Sheila's boyfriend, who I believe train in the Aarhus affiliate, also dropped in once, I didn't catch his name but he was wearing these very characteristic purple squid spats. source, 2014 ↗
