Thank you! I'll give it a shot at Triforce Shinjuku as I have to pass by Shinjuku for work. Nice to hear that is even better than the HQ in Ikebukuro. In Shinjuku, were there many big guys there? On their IG I see often people who seem to be around 65-70kgs-ish and much less than 185cm? I'm still trying to figure out the standard prices for both BJJ and kickboxing gyms for hobbyists in Tokyo. MMA gyms are incredibly pervasive in Tokyo. There’s a lot that are so used to seeing foreigners that you won’t stand out, especially in touristic/foreigner areas like Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Roppongi If you want BJJ, there’s so many of them in Tokyo and they’re all virtually “foreigner friendly.” Remember, these are businesses, they don’t care where you’re from, just as long as you’re a paying member source, 2024 ↗

I went to Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Osaka and Tri Force in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Both were great. I emailed both before turning up. The GJJ in Osaka was taught by a purple belt who was French and spoke French, English and Japanese. Tri Force was taught by a Japanese black belt in Japanese but you could figure out what was going on. source, 2023 ↗
