Tribe Jiu-Jitsu has the strongest Reddit endorsement but is not yet in our gym directory.

Tribe Jiu-Jitsu Milano

Two independent commenters in 2023 named this as Milan’s best gym.

“Tribe JiuJitsu: big franchise, basically you can find a Tribe in every major Italian city. If you train in the Milan location you can train along Federico Tisi which is one of the first Italian black belts and the owner of the school. He’s one of the best teachers out there, very solid jiu-jitsu. They are always present at IBJJF competitions.” source, 2023

A second voice from the same period:

“If you come to Milan you can go to Tribe jiu-jitsu which is owned by Federico Tisi. He’s the first or one of the firsts Italian black belt. At 48 he’s a killer, he rolls with everyone without any hesitations, his way of teaching is also something very particular. You can really tell he did that his whole life.” source, 2023

Part of a national franchise, so a membership may transfer to other Italian cities.

Tribe Jiu-Jitsu is not yet listed in our directory.

Stance Sportlab

Named in the same December 2023 thread as Milan’s competition-focused option:

“Stance Sportlab: for what I saw it would say it’s competition oriented but it also has beginners lessons. UFC fighters actually come here to train every now and then (Usman, Vettori).” source, 2023

Our directory backs it up with high_level, good_instructors, and friendly_atmosphere tags.

South Milan (Via Bernardo Quaranta, 52). Drop-in: unconfirmed. Gi/no-gi data unavailable. Full profile

Team Carvalho Italia

The commenters recommending Tribe train here themselves and describe their own gym:

“Also our small gym is nearby but it’s less interesting, even if we got an excellent instructor that teaches a mix of modern and basic stuff and he’s very open minded.” source, 2023

Self-described modesty aside, the directory tags it high_level, open_mat, beginner_friendly, and clean. Same neighborhood as Tribe; the two gyms are worth comparing directly.

Lambrate (Viale delle Rimembranze di Lambrate). Drop-in: unconfirmed. Gi. Full profile

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Milano

No Reddit mentions in this dataset, but the highest bjjgym.com rating in Milan at 80/100. Drop-in is confirmed. Both gi and no-gi classes run.

Directory tags: high_level, women’s classes, beginner_friendly, friendly_atmosphere, clean. One negative tag to note: disorganized. Confirm the schedule before visiting.

North Milan (Via Verbano, 8). Drop-in: yes. Gi + no-gi. Full profile

Dojo Yoseikan Milan

Eight Reddit mentions - highest raw count - but most are off-topic (COVID threads, unrelated r/bjj comments). The one useful signal is a 2023 membership post:

“Milan: 90€ for the ‘open’ membership, that’s to say you can attend as many courses as you like. They offer at least 1.5 hours of lessons three times every week for each course. The courses are: Boxing, Kickboxing, MMA, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kendo and Nippon Kempo. Shower and hairdryer included.” source, 2023

BJJ is one of eight disciplines here, not the focus. That 90€ figure is from July 2023 - worth verifying before signing up.

Via Garian, 64 (west Milan). Drop-in: unconfirmed. Gi. Full profile

DBK Milano BJJ (Via Carroccio, 13, central Milan): directory tags affordable, high_level, open_mat, beginner_friendly, clean. No Reddit signal but the strongest tag profile of any directory-only listing. Full profile

Lotus Club Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Milano (Via Napo Torriani, 19): one of two Milan gyms with confirmed drop-in and explicit no-gi programming in the same listing. Tags: high_level, nogi, beginner_friendly. Full profile

L’Accademia (Via Privata Oslavia, 17): named in the December 2023 thread as “another famous bjj school for their competitors.” source, 2023. Gi only in directory. Full profile

MILANIMAL (Via Tagliamento, 4): one mention for BJJ and CrossFit combined, with easy metro access. source, 2022. Note that this quote is three years old - verify current programming. Full profile
