Battle? like with Horses and shields? No. Local Jiu Jitsu tournaments in Los Angeles where BJJ competition is extremely hard...yes. multiple times. Ive won some, Ive lost some, but I;ve never tapped to that bullshit hold and I don't no sell moves and act like billy bad ass. Thats the difference. I also can defend my position unlike you who I doubt even trains considering you didnt know who craig jones and gordon ryan are and you think a head scissors would have led to broken bones. ​ "haha im laughing, this is funny. My favorite story of this era is how after founding Shooto. Satoru Sayama saw the first UFC event and went "Damn, I got do this myself". He organized the Vale Tudo Open Japan tournament in 1994, he tried to get Royce Gracie but instead got something even better: his older brother Rickson, the so-called "Champion" of the Gracie family. Royce won trhough the UFC with his jiu-jitsu grappling skills. Rickson didn't even need them, he could just throw you into the ground and ground-and-pound the fuck out of you, he smashed through the Vale Tudo Japan '94 and became a big figure in the combat sport source, 2022 ↗

Hollywood area, the best school is Xande Ribeiro at True Warrior Fitness. He's right off Melrose and La Brea, where Pinks is. Cost is about standard for LA ($170 or so a month, 1 year contract) but it is primarily gi. You can check out the website [here](http://xanderibeirojiujitsu.com/). Xande is one of the best in the world, proving it again this past weekend where he won no-gi worlds. If you are insistent on no-gi training only, Eddie Bravo just relocated his headquarters to downtown at the tap out gym (over on Pico, not far from LALive but in the crappier part of downtown).
