My buddy trained 6 days a week from white until black under Sim Go in Las Vegas. He got his black belt in 4-4.5 years. He started in his late 30s but had a very.. durable, blue collar build. He also understood BJJ very naturally and didn't seemingly every get injured. It took my dumbass about three years to realize he was always there because he wanted to get his black belt and open his own academy. He is super chill and never spoke, hence why I didn't know that.
