What Reddit says about Redzovic Jiu Jitsu Lincoln Square
8 verbatim community mentions from r/bjj and city subreddits, unedited, positives and negatives alike.
Southside jiu jitsu is great. Like 2 minute walk off the green line. Was going to suggest ‘Chicago Muay Thai & Kickboxing Club’ in Lincoln park for striking but may be difficult to get to from the loop. source, 2025 ↗

Lots of good gyms in Chicago and luckily lots of them cross train so you can check out lots of spots. Closest too you is probably Vianna Brothers which is a good gym with good people. A bit farther in the city you have Valko, Taylor Biaggi, Redzovic, so lots of good options to try. My gym is pretty far from you but if you ever are north in the city you are welcome to stop by and train with us at Serafin Jiu Jitsu source, 2025 ↗

Lots of good gyms in the area. There is u/serafin, there is new breed, valko, double five, uflacker, Southside, any of the redzovics, comprido, 10p chicago, 10p lombard, team kuma, vuk, pica pao, 3d mma, pure bjj. I've had experiences with almost all these gym or have friends that train there. Chicago really is a great city for bjj. source, 2024 ↗

These are probably nearest to Old Town Chicago MMA (Halsted & North Ave) Valko’s BJJ (Ontario & Chicago) Team Fumaca Academy (Clybourn & North) These are also easily accessible via public transportations Downtown Jiu-Jitsu Club (Adem Redzovic) Chicago School of Grappling (by UIC) Carlson Gracie Jr / HQ (Logan Square, Milwaukee Ave) Vianna Brothers (also on Milwaukee Ave near CG) Brazil-021 (Chicago Ave, west of Ashland) Double Five Jiu-Jitsu (Andre Maneco, Chicago Ave East of Ashland) Molinaro Jiu-Jitsu (Lakeview) Lakeside BJJ (also Lakeview inside of Quad’s gym) source, 2024 ↗

I’m all over the place atm, what area of Chicago you in, I always recommend the closest gym to you, you don’t want to travel a hour to class. First class is always free everywhere. Lots of great schools in Chicago. If you in Lincoln Park, then go to supreme Jiu jitsu, downtown go to downtown Jiu jitsu club, Lincoln square would be team Redzovic, Nile’s is top level mma, Norridge is Stronghold, other great schools is TDC mma, ChicagoMma, All Star Jiu Jitsu in Lombard. 10th planet is great too source, 2024 ↗

Can't recommend andre manecos (double five Chicago) enough. Also; valko, Carlson hq, movemento (izzy rayes is a G), redzovic are Chicago bjj pioneers!!! All in the west loop area. Brazil 021 moved, fwiw. source, 2024 ↗

Hey hey, So I'm always going to recommend [Valko BJJ](https://valkobjj.com/) for the following reasons: * It's right off the brown line Chicago stop. If you're living in Lincoln Park/Lakeview, the Brown Line is usually the main train line there. If you have a car, parking can get challenging & expensive * No contracts and upfront pricing listed on the site. Unlimited is $150/month, which is probably one of the cheapest IMO... especially given the facility and the quality of teaching/competition there. I feel like the average unlimited class * No gym specific gear. The school isn't s source, 2023 ↗

Isn’t that adem redzovics school? Great guy and one of the early jiu jitsu practitioners in chicago. source, 2023 ↗
