What Reddit says about Torse House: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

6 verbatim community mentions from r/bjj and city subreddits, unedited, positives and negatives alike.

Damn, this guy is a real piece of shit. > On a single day in Texas, for instance, after Sarah left his hotel, he slept with Mary and texted Eve. And on another in March 2021, 'a day of admittedly impressive logistical jiu-jitsu', while Sarah was in the home they shared in Berkeley, California, he had Mary fly from Texas to Los Angeles to stay with him in the house he rented there in the LA suburb of Topanga. > While Mary remained there looking after his dog, he then drove to a local coffee shop where he met Eve. They discussed their relationship and how much he wanted to make it work. source, 2024 ↗

Ice climbing sounds interesting and different. The show reaches about 74 million viewers in the US, so even when we do a local episode, it airs on all the stations - so when we do episodes we work on balancing local vs the whole network of stations that run it. So even though you will see it on CKPR, etc., it'll also be running on FOX Vegas, Rochester NY, Los Angeles, Nashville and the like and they will also see the same episode. So a lot of eyes are on it. A lot of these are in the right wheelhouse; we already shot episodes with NASCAR at the Pinty's with Alex Tagliani and Scott Steckly, and source, 2023 ↗

For context this is the exact wording of the profile “I like exploring Los Angeles, jiu jitsu, cycling, golfing, breweries, the beach, traveling, and basically anything that gets me out of the house. Be able to take a roasting and don’t take life too seriously 😬 6’0 “ source, 2023 ↗

Use google map to find where BJJ gyms are around Los Angeles and secondary competitors like other martial arts, orange theory, cross fit. If there is an opening say in sherman oaks or Porter ranch that could be good places depending on cost of space, household income, competition and population. Google and seo as well as grassroots is key. source, 2023 ↗

He'll be around for a while, Schaub doesn't have much else to resort to and he's already invested so much money into it, not to much he's accustomed himself to a lifestyle a lifestyle of upper class Los Angeles. Anything else wouldn't pay the bills he has to milk this for whatever he can. He could maybe be an assistant coach or coach a suburban bjj / mma gym, coach high school football, work security. He seems to be doing enough to draw a crowd to pay for bills and the sponsors seem to cover the Ferrari & house repayments, for now. I couldn't imagine he could keep this up for 10+ years, it source, 2022 ↗

Los Angeles Jiu Jitsu Academy (jiujitsu.la) in Culver City is solid. Taught by Kron’s former head instructor Ricardo. Revolution martial arts is decent. The Coop bjj (thecoopbjj.com) is cool too, but similar open mat style with little instruction so it doesn’t sound like what you’re looking for. I think Cobrinha has an affiliate in redondo that I’ve heard good things about. Never heard of blackhouse. source, 2022 ↗
