I have to agree with others here. 30 min classes while they might be convenient for commuters etc,, aren't much time for a good workout. Grappling and clinching especially require some drill work and practice. Unfortunately, 200 bucks or so a week is not bad costs wise nowadays, especially in any city area. Any decent MMA school will have a good standup style like kickboxing or Muay Thai, and some boxing and grappling/JJ/wrestling. When I did Jiujitsu over in Asia back in the ancient 1980s our classes ran 4 hours long, so coming back to the west and people were doing 1 hour, 2 hours it was lik source, 2025 ↗

I can put you through to most gym guys if you need any additional info. For Bangkok I can say that Arete BJJ is the best gym there. A little biased as it was my gym for nearly 3 years. They just moved to a much bigger space with amazing mat space. Vietnam - HCMC, Saigon Sports club has an amazing facility. In Hanoi you got a good selection. Will a blue belt with 3 stripes become a 4 striper? Will a purple belt with one stripe become a three striper? When do you train? We may very well be good mates at the gym.
