What Reddit says about Team Ryano MMA Brazilian Jiujutsu

4 verbatim community mentions from r/bjj and city subreddits, unedited, positives and negatives alike.

Holohan Martial Arts, SBG and Team Ryano MMA & BJJ are all mma gyms that offer bjj in the morning 5 days a week. I'd say you are better looking at the mma gyms cause the bjj will also be less sport focus and do standing stuff. My experience in bjj gyms in Dublin they train very little standing grappling while the bjj in mma gyms do it more. If you want to do judo at any point standing will be more beneficial for you. Tis up to yourself tho but that's just my opinion. source, 2022 ↗

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for sure, it's one of the most beginner friendly sports/Martial arts out there. Clubs often run Beginner courses of 6-12 weeks. And there are plenty of fantastic Clubs in the Dublin area ( East Coast Jiu Jitsu and Team Ryano to name but a few) well worth looking into. source, 2021 ↗

Dublin has a ton of good BJJ clubs, just find a place that's convenient and try a class as most will offer a free one. Some places are pure jiu jitsu clubs, some also have MMA, some also offer regular gym facilities. Depending where you are try any of these or other places that suit or google as you'll likely find others too its not anywhere close to a full list: Blanchardstown - Royal Grappling Blanchardstown - Satori Charlestown - SBG Charlestown Drumcondra - Balance Dublin 1 - Andre Ramos Dublin 1 - Jorge Santo Dundrum - Gracie Barra Finglas - Ryano Fin source, 2018 ↗

I'm from Red Branch BJJ (soon to be 10th Planet Dublin), we're on the north side of the city in the Marino/Fairview neighbourhood. Where best to go will depend on where intend on living and how far you're willing to go. If you're living in Clonshaugh or Coolock, getting to SBG Tallaght or ECJJA might be an issue, however Balance BJJ or Team Ryano would be within reach. If you're in the city, satori bjj might be a stretch. Our public transport is really bad as well, so take that into account. There's also a sambo gym, Sambo Academy Ireland in East Wall by the way. Great place, truly a hidden source, 2017 ↗
