Still, my father was a cop in the '90s, so I have that tough guy mentality. I’m also pretty built, 195 pounds‘ nine percent body fat, world-class jiu-jitsu, and incredibly intense; I was also a model in New York City and went through a rough time in my life looking back at it and was very reckless. in the beginning you suck so bad a blue belt can probably teach you. having an elite instructor doesnt matter that much. Though a bad instructor would obv be bad. Being a renzo gracie gym doesnt mean that much, but they generally are going to be much better than some of the other gracie gyms like gracie jiu jitsu (rener gracie). Danaher et all and b team originally trained out of renzo gracie new york and now half train at renzo gracie austin. Some of it depends on what you like and what your goals are. I personally like a variety of people to roll with and I want a really casual atmosphere source, 2024 ↗

Most gyms want you as a customer. Know what customer it is you want to be and pick the most convenient gym you think aligns with what you want. What I mean by that is do you want to do Gi/nogi or both, do you want to roll with young crazy competitors or after a chilled flow rolls.
