Lots of good options in Copenhagen. Any idea where you’re staying? Arte Suave in Nord Vest is the biggest and most established gym in Denmark. Checkmat affiliate. Lots of good competitors, with a very good MMA program with a few UFC competitors and vets. Alexander Trans came there. Siam in Nørrebro has a really good program as well. They focus a lot on nogi. Also offers MT. Hive in Østerbro is a also a Checkmat affiliate. I believe their focus is mostly gi. Rumble at Flintholm (outer Frederiksberg) is also a solid option. I wanna jump in: as a sports physio told me when I went to have a niggling knee issue get checked out, your knee is influenced by your hamstrings, quads, adductors and calves. All of these should perform well *at all ranges of motion*. I have decently strong legs, but I got as homework some unilateral wide angle (leg almost straight) glute bridges, copenhagen planks and unilateral calf raises. Your joints and muscles are usually mechanically strongest at mid range, and injuries usually happen at end ranges. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can be done at either Arte Suave, Rumble Sports or CSA (Grøndal Centeret). American Football: Copenhagen Tomahawks, Valby. KSI / USG has a bunch of other niche sports, you could try out. source, 2019 ↗

I suspect software engineering is going to be a common occupation here. Copenhagen is high on my list of favorite cities. I've been three times, and absolutely love it. I would love to visit for an extended stay with my family to really get a feel for the culture. One of the strongest guys in my CF gym is a former BJJ coach. It depends on where but for the most part, yes, Denmark is saturated with BJJ gyms. In Copenhagen, the largest gyms are Arte Suave ([they have 21 blackbelts](http://www.mma-cph.dk/belt-rankings/), not all of them are currently training there though), CSA (BJJ Globetrotter founder Christian Graugart teaches there, [they have 3 blackbelts](http://csa.dk/baelter/)) and Rumblesports (they're more MMA-oriented, they have 3 UFC fighters and [2 blackbelts](http://rumblesports.dk/belt-ranking/)). I'm also contemplating moving to Copenhagen this year, and have googled and researched a little bit. These are the schools on top of my list. [Arte Suave](http://www.mma-cph.dk/), [Choke Academy](http://www.chokeacademy.com/) (I think Choke is a more Classic Gracie-Jiu Jitsu school) And then there's the Christian Graugarts gym that /u/asuktfo mentioned. Personally I think I would join Arte Suave. It's a CheckMat school, and seems to be more oriented towards sports jiujitsu. *edit: formating source, 2014 ↗
