There is a huge difference between the fakes that have their students fling themselves around and the masters with true skill. I come from a hard style that isn't known for any internal skill and seriously up until about a year and a half ago would laugh at it and say the same thing. The thing is... it isn't magic, but there are interesting phenomenon associated with internal skill. One day while practicing things just started to click together. Posture, breathing, timing.
