If you are based in Austria, check out Jungle BJJ in Prague. Head coach is a brazilian black belt (Fernando Araujo) and its not that far from Austria. They have another gym in Dublin I think. Not sure about an affiliation, but worth a try. source, 2023 ↗

I did 6 weeks in Europe from May to mid June in 2019. I did Paris to Bruges to Amsterdam, then Berlin, Prague, Kraków, Budapest, Vienna and then Venice. I was gonna do Liverpool, Copenhagen, Athens and Rome in between but too fucking much so I skipped out on that. I used trains to travel. Paris was 3 days, that was enough for me tbh. Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Shakespeare & Sons, a day trip to Versailles were the highlights. Amsterdam I spent a week and a half, but that's because I loved the weed culture (am Canadian haha) and I love jiu jitsu so I trained at 10th Planet Amsterdam. I did feel source, 2022 ↗

Location is...pretty awful, but you're in Germany at least. Nuremberg and Prague aren't more than a few hours away. Most places are shut down due to COVID, so don't expect anything for a while. There's usually boxing on-post. EDIT: BJJ and MMA spots are shut down, is what I meant. source, 2021 ↗

I started practicing by following a video on YouTube every once in a while when I was around 17. After I moved to Prague, I went a yoga class a few times each month, with a break here and there, but I was always physically active one way or another - running, pole dance, crossfit, climbing, BJJ - you name it, I've done it haha. So even though I wasn't a dedicated yogini, I was always quite strong and flexible. And I finished my first YTT this year, being 24. To give you an idea about the "yoga level" there, there were 7 of us at the training (Tantra Hatha Vinyasa) and: * Just 1 other gi source, 2020 ↗

Oh god, I actually have another story about this :( K here we go. So a friend and I were in Prague and he was RAVING about Thai massages. So we find a place and go right in. Now from first look, this place was clean, modern, and very upstanding. In no way, shape, or form did this place give us the "rub and tug" vibe. So I go in to my room (read: cubicle with some bamboo barriers) and because of the language barrier I decide to keep my underwear on. Like all massages, I start on my stomach and wait for my masseuse to come in. She does and begins working on me. Now I was not a big fan of source, 2019 ↗

What I absolutely loved about Tony was that he didn't just keep the spotlight on the "best of the best" in terms of anything. Sure, he'd go around with Eric Ripert and eat meals that are absolute marvels of culinary skill, but the next episode he'd go to a street cart in Prague or take the POTUS to a hole in the wall restaurant in Vietnam. He just liked good things, no matter where he got them. He was the same way in BJJ. We trained at Renzo's together and he could have done private lessons exclusively, but he didn't. He was there in the white belt classes with everybody else, kicked a lot o source, 2018 ↗
