Magalit BJJ and Denny Prokopos Jiujitsu are the places that are mainly NoGi oriented. Ralph Gracie SF offers some classes as well. If you have a car, driving south of San Francisco towards the peninsula, there’s 10th Planet Daly City. And another place I’d recommend, is Cave Academy. Do you mean the city of San Francisco? SFO is an airport. If you just mean the city of SF, then I’d recommend Magalit BJJ. It’s a heavy nogi school. There’s not a ton of space to wrestle, but that’s true of basically every gym in SF (real estate gets expensive per sq foot). They are a serious competition team. They compete constantly and always do well. The jiu jitsu there is just top notch. And Travis has unreal skills, but is great at conveying instruction in a way that anyone can understand. source, 2021 ↗

Magalit Bjj is a great spot. No Gi classes most nights , we dont really care about what Gi you wear. You can definitely wrestle if you find the space. Most nights the mat is packed, specifically for NoGi source, 2020 ↗

I used to live in San Francisco. It is one of the meccas of BJJ and martial arts in the United States. It's practically impossible to say which of the gyms in the city is the best -- they're all very good and very different. You have to try a few and see which one you vibe with. Below is an admittedly over-simplified stereotyping of a few of your options Bay Jiu Jitsu has a lot of locations, is very family-friendly and caters to a hobbyist crowd. Mix of gi and no gi.
