how was it u/northstarjackson ? There's a few gyms I've been to in wien. ZR Team - v nice, more white-collar hobbyists with good technique. Iron fist - young scrappy kids with MMA dreams and tons of raw talent. I do a class there most weeks with as part of a sports pass called Myclubs. And the gym I'm a member of City Thong. Hilarious name. Great gym though. And tons of space, so you can work standup, which isn't possible at all gyms. Looking to try more gyms and open mats though. Would also love to find a place with mats that lets you just drop in and try techniques with a friend. Could jus source, 2024 ↗

Bei Kampfsport muss vieles für dich individuell passen, besonders Sympathie, Vertrauen, etc. deswegen sind Probetrainings meiner Meinung nach unabdinglich bevor du eine Entscheidung triffst. Für Selbstverteidigung ist Vollkontakt-Sparring das wichtigste Kriterium. Krav Maga bietet das in der Regel nicht und wird meistens in der selben Art und Weise praktiziert wie Aikido, Hapkido, Ninjutsu, Karate, Tae-Kwon-Do, usw. sprich weit entfernt von jeglicher praktischen Anwendung in der realen Welt. Since i am not so much into competitive fighting i can not really compare them. Training with Fernando Paulon was fun, he is a legit fighter. In vienna he is in a few gyms. I also heard that Michael Maarup Pedersen is an exceptional trainer. But i don't know which gym he is in. I will probably start BJJ at BJJ Wien becouse i know those guys from traditonal Ju Jitsu and live very close soon. But they do not have the competition reputation at such a high level. source, 2021 ↗
