Not sure what you mean by “old school” mentality at AOJ or “gentle Jiu-Jitsu.” To answer your question, since you do No Gi…look at the places or areas that create top tier No Gi competitors. San Diego and Austin (for the US). Either way, you’d be surprised by how many people jump around schools or pop up at open mats, etc. As a random blue belt, you’re probably okay to do whatever floats your boat until someone says otherwise. source, 2024 ↗
