Gracie jiu jitsu singapore. Friendly environment and not crazy competitive like evolve where ppl want to kill u source, 2023 ↗

I recently visited the main Evolve gym in Singapore, holy shit - the bathrooms were insane. I'm talking what seemed like 20 odd individual, tiled, private shower spaces with tons of room, really high quality body soap and shampoo dispensers, and just everything in the changing room was like a 5 star hotel.. 15 years doing BJJ and I've never seen anything like it. I'm used to a bench and maybe a water fountain if I'm lucky. Super impressive. source, 2023 ↗

That's probably about right, before that, striking sports like muay thai had a much longer history in Singapore before ONE, evolve and mma became more popular in Singapore. I trained muay thai in school about 15 years ago and never heard of BJJ back then source, 2022 ↗

I used to train at evolve. Most of the big name bjj and mma fighters like tonon, Roger gracie, Ben askren, Angela Lee aren’t there. They might pop in for a seminar once in a while. The former world Muay Thai champions are there. Michelle nicolini spent a year there, but left to continue competing and traveling. Mike muscemci lives there part of the year and is likely paid well. source, 2022 ↗

It’s a list of past and present teachers. Best to check their schedules of the locations you would plan to visit to see who’s teaching where as there are multiple evolve locations in Singapore. Far East square is their HQ. source, 2022 ↗

You seem to think very highly of yourself from your tone of writing. If you want to eat a piece of humble pie and experience what the hardest core human beings do try a Mixed Martial Arts vacation with boxing, muay thai, wrestling, and BJJ world champions in Singapore. It's super expensive because you're paying for the time of elite champions. [https://evolve-vacation.com/](https://evolve-vacation.com/) There's also Brazilian Jiu Jitsu versions of these types of vacations as well. The two instructors in this video are Gezary Matuda (multiple time black belt world champion in BJJ) and Mack source, 2021 ↗

Hello there! As an expat who has been here for years I can say that you'll love it in Singapore. If you want a central point to bounce from that is expat dense then check out the Holland Village and Holland Hill area. The night life is busy with a section of road deep in the village that closes to traffic in the evenings to host all the people. Plenty of buses to pick from and there's a mrt on the circle line. I participated in Japanese jiu-jitsu for years and years before I moved here and ended up discovering that there is only one dojo for it on the island. I attended for a year but ul source, 2019 ↗

bjj is a lifestyle choice, it is also an expensive one. I find if you train 3 to 4 days a week you will not have time for other things that suck money like drinking. It all evens out in the end. I did bjj in the state at Renzo Gracie and they have an affiliation with Evolve but it is expensive. If you take Muhy Thai as well the expenses work themselves out. I do it for fitness and it is nice to get choked out sometimes. source, 2014 ↗
