If you want someone to sponsor, John Goldsborough is a pretty good up and coming pick. Younger guy but extremely dedicated to BJJ and is gunning to become a future world champion. Trains out of New Journey Jiu-Jitsu and Sainz Alpha Miami Grappling. His Instagram is johnjohn_bjj. Also are you looking to sell rash guards whole sale to an academy? I may be interested in that if you are. source, 2023 ↗

They haven't been a major team in a minute but Rilion Gracie/Gracie Elite has always been a good coach/team. You already said Fight Sports. Enrico Cocco's Zen Jiu-Jitsu, they aren't all affiliated with Fight Sports. Leo D’avila and Luccas Lira and the Atos Miami team are building something cool. Roberto Gordo is based in Florida. American Top Team fields some competitors. They don't have a John Danaher, B-Team, and Tackett brothers, which to me makes Austin, Texas the place to be, not Texas itself. But they have a nice scene. source, 2023 ↗

Just got an adapter for my phone, so I'm trying to get into DJ role because I'm tired of Jocko speeches (seriously) and "Jiu Jitsu" rap song the other guy is playing. Last time I played "Glam rock workout" autogenerated list from Spotify - felt that it was ok. Especially that it started with "Do you really wanna taste it". Eventually want to play more electronic music like Daft Punk, Miami Horror, Clozee, Olivier Koletzki. But these need to be guaranteed to be high tempo. But for now it will be rock/nu metal to build trust in my selections. source, 2023 ↗

Those legs are looking like tree trunks too lol. —EDIT— Remembered this recent article: [“Tua appears bigger and stronger and no, there is no reason to panic about this. Tua intentionally bulked up and strengthened his neck and it looks like his legs and chest, too.”](https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story/sports/nfl/2023/05/26/miami-dolphins-quarterback-tua-tagovailoa-appears-bigger-and-is-training-jiu-jitsu/70261361007/#) source, 2023 ↗

This is pretty awesome propaganda for BJJ. >“It is a misconception,” Garcia says, “that this is a sport for supermen. Who the heck thinks that? He may as well have said, "It's a misconception that all BJJ guys are all good looking, charming and rich." >It’s quite hard to get injured in jiu-jitsu: it’s unlikely to happen by accident. Pedro Garcia has never had an injury, in 16 years. Yeah, if you define "injured" as staying over night in a hospital. > it reads like the grand tour of the international playboy: Miami, Rio de Janeiro, source, 2023 ↗

>I guess the first thing I noticed is there is absolutely such thing as outdated jiu-jitsu. It wasn't uncommon for my instructor to teach something that I absolutely knew was wrong because of a more modern counter to it. The most flagrant thing I've seen is how hobbyists teach getting to dope mount. If you try the way most are teaching it in SD/Miami(And I'd assume Austin/NYC), you're going to get thrown into a leg lock every single time. Have you ever tried to bring this up? I've had this issue as well. I know if I bring it up it'll be WW3 in the gym. source, 2023 ↗

UFC is a lot more than throwing punches. My brother is a UFC fighter and he specializes in wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kung Fu, Muay Thai, MMA, and Boxing. UFC is alot harder than people think. It’s not just throwing punches or kicks. And only 1% people get into it. She should do boxing cause I notice BlueFace has been having her train with him/his coach. If she got serious she wouldn’t do too bad. But fighting takes ALOT of dedication. I only do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and tried doing MMA with a girl down here in Miami and that shit is no cake walk. Plus, you can’t smoke marijuana or drink wh source, 2022 ↗

Nice write-up thanks. I will be in Miami next week and while I had a great but gruelling experience at the main fight sports gym a couple of months ago, the falls is closer to my house. I get nervous as a one-stripe white belt dropping in at new places. source, 2015 ↗
