in the beginning you suck so bad a blue belt can probably teach you. having an elite instructor doesnt matter that much. Though a bad instructor would obv be bad. Being a renzo gracie gym doesnt mean that much, but they generally are going to be much better than some of the other gracie gyms like gracie jiu jitsu (rener gracie). Danaher et all and b team originally trained out of renzo gracie new york and now half train at renzo gracie austin. Some of it depends on what you like and what your goals are. I personally like a variety of people to roll with and I want a really casual atmosphere source, 2024 ↗

Come over to East Side Elite. Tons of color on the mat. Laid back, no tradition or having to buy anyone's gi. Not to mention 3000 sqft of mat space. I'll be there for no-gi at noon today. source, 2017 ↗
