how was it u/northstarjackson ? There's a few gyms I've been to in wien. ZR Team - v nice, more white-collar hobbyists with good technique. Iron fist - young scrappy kids with MMA dreams and tons of raw talent. I do a class there most weeks with as part of a sports pass called Myclubs. And the gym I'm a member of City Thong. Hilarious name. Great gym though. And tons of space, so you can work standup, which isn't possible at all gyms. Looking to try more gyms and open mats though. Would also love to find a place with mats that lets you just drop in and try techniques with a friend. Could jus source, 2024 ↗

I live in Denmark but I know that the danish black Michael Pedersen at Good Vibes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu runs classes there. I have been to a few of his seminars in Denmark and he is really technical as well a great teacher. One my buddies who lives in another city who has also have been separately to his seminars say the same thing. Highly recommending the guy. source, 2020 ↗

Bjj is very popular in Europe, North America, South American, and Australia. I was in Vienna austria last week, and looked up jiujitsu gyms, and found one general martial arts academy that had some Japanese jiujitsu classes, and found 5 bjj spots that were all relatively central in the city. I live in Toronto, and there are maybe one or two Japanese jiujitsu places (loads of general/traditional martial arts schools, which maybe include some Japanese jiujitsu), but there are several BJJ academies (not including MMA gyms). source, 2019 ↗

I'm training at [Citythong](https://www.facebook.com/pages/City-Thong-Fitness-Fight-Club/146097118742958) in Vienna and can highly recommend it. They are only closed on the 1st (which is a public holiday), but open from the 2nd on. If you are interested I can tell the instructor Thomas that you are coming by. I Train in Vienna, Austria and you're definitely welcome to come and train with us here! I train at Gracie Barra Vienna and our schedule can be found on the website www.crossfitdistrict2.com - we moved into a new gym with crossfit and bjj practice available recently. We have people dropping by all the time and I don't think you'd have to pay anything for a few classes. Just to make sure I can ask my coach about it if you want.
