Nope he's full of shit as always, and cant just share his new 'passion' without using it as reason to act like he wasnt born with a silver spoon and a golden ticket to the industry. Its probably exactly the thing he's claiming made him insecure, and this lie about being beat up by jiu jitsu high schoolers is meant to paint himself as if he clawed to the top from what he views as a typical American upbringing thanks to the 80s movie he thinks represent real America -- when he actually came from a sheltered Hollywood upbringing in a gated community. It totally is, but with traffic it's pretty far from Hollywood. LA is not like other cities, what may be only 20 miles could easily take you 2 hours to make an evening class and public transportation won't help you with that. source, 2012 ↗

Hollywood area, the best school is Xande Ribeiro at True Warrior Fitness. He's right off Melrose and La Brea, where Pinks is. Cost is about standard for LA ($170 or so a month, 1 year contract) but it is primarily gi. You can check out the website [here](http://xanderibeirojiujitsu.com/). Xande is one of the best in the world, proving it again this past weekend where he won no-gi worlds. If you are insistent on no-gi training only, Eddie Bravo just relocated his headquarters to downtown at the tap out gym (over on Pico, not far from LALive but in the crappier part of downtown).
