Lots of good options in Copenhagen. Any idea where you’re staying? Arte Suave in Nord Vest is the biggest and most established gym in Denmark. Checkmat affiliate. Lots of good competitors, with a very good MMA program with a few UFC competitors and vets. Alexander Trans came there. Siam in Nørrebro has a really good program as well. They focus a lot on nogi. Also offers MT. Hive in Østerbro is a also a Checkmat affiliate. I believe their focus is mostly gi. Rumble at Flintholm (outer Frederiksberg) is also a solid option. Choke became part of Rumble a few years ago. They also have a stro source, 2023 ↗

I can fill you in on this one. She is from Sweden, but studying in Copenhagen, Denmark. She's in her fourth year of med school. She trains at [Arte Suave](http://www.mma-cph.dk/) along with other world class competitor Shanti Abelha. (Alexander Trans http://www.bjjheroes.com/bjj-fighters/alexander-trans is also from this academy, they have a crazy thing going there) For many years until very recently Ida Hansson www.idahanssonbjj.com http://www.bjjheroes.com/bjj-fighters/ida-hansson also trained there, she is from the same town in Sweden, and also studied medical school in copenhagen until 2 source, 2014 ↗

I would recommend Arte Suave. Great gym, great people who train there and regularly have world class people drop by. Just today they had Rosi Sexton dropping by and she held a workshop on takedowns. I'd recommend a bike and buscard. Arte Suave is super easy to get to by bus. Bus 5A from the central trainstation stops about 200 meters from the academy. Don't remember the name of the station but its the one immediately after Nörreport station. Also if you're in copenhagen hit me up if you want to come by Malmö, Sweden for a class =) source, 2014 ↗

CSA, where Graugart is is a very open gym it seems like. Then you have Arte Suave, which is Checkmat affiliated and probably one of the best BJJ academies in Europe. They have like 10 black belts or something like that counting Alexander Trans, Shanti Abelha, Shimon, Ida Hansson, so they actually have world class BJJ people training there. And you have Choke Academy, which is where I'm affiliated with (or was). It is run by Joao Pedro Dos Santos and he is a black belt under Sergio Bolao. He has a very traditional brazilian style with some emphasize on self-defense too. Plus most MMA gyms in source, 2014 ↗
