A big change that needs to happen is the average guys sense of humor. My experience is literally only the nerdy guys are capable of being friends, without shitting all over you. It's literally the whole reason why I hated sports growing up. Didn't even realize that was the real reason until I became friends with a kid in highschool who did martial arts. I realized from him that exercise and competition is actually a lot of fun when you don't have to deal with idiots trashing you and throwing tantrums. Funny thing is he was one of the best roasters I've ever heard, better than any comedian I' source, 2025 ↗

Good luck man Chicago is literally the worst MMA/Muay Thai gyms than anywhere I have ever seen. The level is ridiculously low they all do terrible when fighting outside Chicago. And a lot of places masquerade as a "real fighting" gym but they just do fitness and do sloppy sparring. Thankfully I left this dump Chicago MMA is ok it's just really small. The striking there is really low level. They have good jiu Jitsu but that's about it source, 2025 ↗

Molinaro, double five Chicago, movemento, and Northside bjj all aren't too far. The biggest in the area that is new breed but they're just outside the city in Niles. Best nogi open mat is in lombard at 10th planet, just a fun suggestion. source, 2025 ↗

I’m all over the place atm, what area of Chicago you in, I always recommend the closest gym to you, you don’t want to travel a hour to class. First class is always free everywhere. Lots of great schools in Chicago. If you in Lincoln Park, then go to supreme Jiu jitsu, downtown go to downtown Jiu jitsu club, Lincoln square would be team Redzovic, Nile’s is top level mma, Norridge is Stronghold, other great schools is TDC mma, ChicagoMma, All Star Jiu Jitsu in Lombard. 10th planet is great too source, 2024 ↗

5:15 till 7 at Serafin, Valko is 11:15-1:15 or something. And I know for sure: I don’t miss Friday open mats there at all. A lot of people, great rolls! This week it’s gi, next one is no-gi source, 2019 ↗

>And are you really gonna deny that he is a tremendous wrestler? Not at all, but that's also his problem. Historically, most former wrestlers in the UFC have suffered the same problem - they can ground you easily, but lack a lot of skill on the ground (submissions, etc) once they get you there. It wasn't until people started training the ground and pound that you saw wrestlers succeeding to any degree. And even then, with no submission training, they could be fought off or submitted. I hate Lesnar, but I don't say these things because of that. I want to see interesting and technical (and b source, 2009 ↗

Your post is incorrect. He has displayed some high level techniques, as well as his great speed and agility. All off these things have contributed to his run to the title at least as much as his sheer size and strength. This should be obvious. source, 2009 ↗
