At this stage I think it rests as much on the student as the instructor. Pre KMG when I trained under an IKMF instructor (we were both military) i was heavily encouraged to cross train BJJ and MT. I couldnt find an old school MT place in the are who sparred so ended ip in a Kyokushin dojo in London which actually fulfillled more than my KM class did in the end. KM via this guy for me was about application of already learned technique rather than learning the technique itself, unlike 90% of the class was doing because for them it was a class for me it was part of my training. 20 psf is an absolute minimum for sure, could be 35 or so but not much more I wouldn’t imagine at the moment for that kind of space.  Yeah of course many overheads and big cleaning bills, electricity etc but… I think it seems promising for London overall.  The bare bones bjj places in town are 180-200 a month or so already.  I ran a fitness business in London, we had about 60k sq ft of leased premises in total. I didnt boxing and a small amount of Muay Thai, I lived in Boston for a while and started training at Mark Delagrotti’s place, Sityodtong. I got choked by a child doing some light MMA sparing. I just thought bjj was a joke even though id seen UFC1 and 2. Never did stand up again. Just couldnt believe a kid could kill me! Hahaha. Went and found a great bjj place called North Shore BJJ in Salem and then moved back to London UK and went straight to Roger’s. That was all about 15 odd years ago. source, 2025 ↗

Thats pricey, where are you? Is it a legit boxing gym or a gym that also does boxing? I pay £100pm for unlimited Muay Thai in East London, the place also does normal boxing and BJJ too. Think thats a fair price source, 2025 ↗

London + those coaches + these pics = $$$$$$$$$ mostly fees. Edit: Mostly curious, but from my understanding BJJ schools in Europe are less expensive (on average) than ones in the US. In regard to monthly dues. So I wonder how this sort of place will compare to say the more expensive places in Europe and the US. source, 2024 ↗

I'm mainly training in judo at the moment, but I've done a few different martial arts Japanese Jiu Jiu-jitsu, and Capoeira are probably the other martial arts I've trained in the most. I've also done some boxing, muay Thai, BJJ, and kick boxing from what I can remember. I want to try sumo wrestling but it's hard to find places in London. source, 2024 ↗
