Yes I am also learning MT/Boxing as well! It is a lot easier to learn for some reason! Right now, anyone blue or above kind of scares me lol. My coach let me practice on him a couple times and he is a black belt. Great to know he is willing to go to that level with me. source, 2018 ↗

I've been on the other end of that, meaning I've been the upper belt helping out the new guy. It's really not a big deal. Helping you makes us better at jiu jitsu. If we didn't want to do it then we wouldn't. We do it because we love jiu jitsu and helping you makes us both better. Second, we have all been there before. All of us started at white belt. When I help the new guy, I remember the guys who helped me when I started, and we fully expect you to do the same if you stick around long enough to be the upper belt. You should do what I did. I moved to a new city with a solid Mma team with a current UFC champion. I found roommates on Craigslist before I went and got a job as a personal trainer. Before this I had gone to Tiger Muay Thai (same road as Phuket Top Team) for 6 weeks back in 2012 and would recommend it for a trip but I wouldn't recommend moving out there permanently unless you're already a pro. I wouldn't focus on pro right now I would just focus on getting better everyday and usually the opportunity presents itself. Best of luck source, 2017 ↗
