Hi All! You were so nice and kind with your comments- it motivated me to edit all the clips I recorded. Hope you enjoy 5 minutes (almost) of magic: Marcelo Garcia celebrating one year cancer free! Im trying to get as good as I can, especially since being promoted in the last couple months. I moved to New York City and I went to Marcelo’s. Got destroyed by the black belts and brown belts and knew this is where I wanted to be. Reminded me of how it felt first starting jiu jitsu so in my mind eventually it has to pick up to where I can feel like decently able to handle myself against black belts? source, 2024 ↗

You should do both. Renzo on monday afternoon if you want to see bjj/MMA killers you'll certainly recognize and learn from John. Or, Monday/wed/fri morning if you want the same techniques but a smaller (less crowded) setting. Then in the afternoon head to Marcelo's because Marcelo. source, 2016 ↗

You're there for 3 or 4 days, go to both. I did a class at Marcelo's on a Saturday. He was there but not teaching. source, 2016 ↗

If you want to go to Marcelo's for Marcelo, email in advance, they will tell you when he is teaching. They get asked *all the time*. Not sure about Renzo, but I know Danaher teaches regularly and is coming back from his surgery. source, 2016 ↗

I would go to New York and alternate between Renzo Gracie Academy for John Danaher and Marcelo Garcia's Academy for Marcelo Garcia. I'd do that for a month. Then I'd go to California for a week to smoke that good ganja shit and spend all day on the beach. In other words, I'd go to 10th Planet. source, 2015 ↗
