I'm French living in North America, with my salary here I'm a doing good. Same salary in Europe I'd be a fucking king. Yes France has more taxes, you also have to look at the whole picture (free healthcare, free education, lower cost living overall..) my BJJ membership cost me 180$/month here my friend in Paris pay 250 euros/years.
