Nobody prefers to wear a gi when they’re first starting out and (at least for me) it’s a humiliating handicap when you’re used to being able to rely on your athleticism. I suggest NW jiu jitsu academy with Brian Johnson in Ballard. He does both and if you can get yourself to work at something you are most certainly bad at it will only make you better. source, 2022 ↗
