Definitely go for it! Believe it or not, teaching / coach actually helps you subconsciously improve your technique because you're burdened with the responsibility of wanting to teach it right! (At our gym, one of the assistant coaches has gone from white belt to brown belt in 8 years, which is faster that any one else in our gym (average is about 12-14 years at our gym) - and he's an absolute monster/beast. I asked how on earth did he climb so quick - and he attributed his exponential rise in teaching / coaching all the kids classes and our fundamentals classes, since he's been a 3 stripe b source, 2024 ↗
