Ever rolled at 10th planet? or Dougs Duggart's BJJ in Highpoint NC/s? yeah the spectrum of cultiness in our sport/martial art is wide. 2. What kind of department issues? The cost of living is comparable to here in Los Angeles, but I understand that's a big factor in quality of life. Figured if I went for a career, I could just bum it out through the first 5 ½ years til that pay raise. I work out a few times a week, but health is wealth, so I absolutely will keep it a priority. Try judo- totally different mindset or Greco -Roman? When I started ar Rickson's school- it was in West Los Angeles behind a Krause's Sofa on Pico- some guy asked me what I'd trained in. After I told him he said "a pity you wasted all that time." Funny how my black in judo trumped his bjj blue belt. I had a white as this was not a judo school- new style, new rules so I'm the low man here. I have never seen that in judo and several times in bjj. Granted I'm 1 guy in a highly limited exposure but I've heard others with the same complaint. source, 2023 ↗
